The Mekora Safety Center

No platform can remove every risk from dating. What we can do is give you real tools, clear rules and a team that acts on reports — and explain exactly how all of it works.

• Identity verification

  Members can verify with a government ID and a live selfie. Verified profiles carry a blue badge so you know who you are talking to.

• Private by default

  Your exact location is never shared — only an approximate area. Your phone number stays yours, because calls happen inside the app.

• You control visibility

  Incognito mode hides you from discovery, and blocking is instant and mutual: blocked members disappear from your experience entirely.

• Reporting and moderation

  Every profile and message can be reported. Reports go to a human moderation queue and serious violations end in removal.

Practical tips before you meet

• Keep the first conversation inside Mekora — there is no need to share your number or socials early.
• Video call before meeting. It takes two minutes and confirms the person matches their photos.
• Meet in a public place for the first date and arrange your own transport there and back.
• Tell a friend where you are going, and use Safety Check-In inside the app to schedule a nudge.
• Trust your instincts. If something feels off, you can leave at any time — and report afterwards.
