Privacy Policy

Mekora ("Mekora", "we", "us") is an adult dating and connection app. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. By using Mekora you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account: email, password (hashed), display name, birthdate, gender/pronouns.
• Profile: photos, profile videos, bio, city, interests, prompts.
• Activity: the profiles you pass or add as a friend in Discover, friend requests, confirmed friends, chats, reports, blocks and notifications.
• Device & usage: IP address, user agent, session and diagnostic logs, crash data.
• Payments: Mekora is completely free. There are no paid plans, subscriptions or in-app purchases, so we never ask for or store payment-card information.
• Identity verification (optional): if you start the optional verification flow, the images you submit and the resulting status are stored so the check can be completed. It is never required to use Mekora.
• Mekora AI: if you use Mekora AI, your conversations with it are stored to preserve context.

1a. ID verification

ID verification is entirely optional and is only used to help confirm that a member is a real person aged 18 or over. It is not required to sign up, use Discover, send requests or chat, and some parts of it may not be available in every country. We store the minimum information needed to run and settle the check, plus the number of attempts so we can prevent abuse. We do not display your ID number, address or date of birth to anyone, and verification data is never used for advertising or any unrelated purpose. Other members see only a verified badge, if any.

2. How we use it

• Operate the service: Discover, friend requests, chat and notifications.
• Safety: enforce our Community Guidelines and act on reports we receive.
• Improve the app: aggregate analytics and bug fixes.
• Communicate: account and safety emails, and optional product updates.

3. Legal bases

We process personal data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in running a safe product, to comply with legal obligations, and — where applicable — with your consent (e.g. push notifications, marketing email).

4. Sharing

We share data with vetted processors that help us run Mekora: hosting and database, our AI provider (Mekora AI responses), email delivery, and analytics. Because Mekora is free, there is no payment processor involved. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose data when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.

5. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. When you delete your account (see Delete your account), profile content is erased and your login is removed. A limited set of records — abuse reports, blocks and safety logs — may be retained for a limited period where the law allows or requires it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most rights directly in the app (edit profile, request your data, delete account). For help, contact support@mekoradating.com.

7. Children

Mekora is 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is limited and logged. No system is perfectly secure; please report suspected issues to support@mekoradating.com.

We'll post material changes here and, where required, notify you in-app or by email.
