Child Safety Standards

Mekora is committed to keeping minors safe. This page explains what we prohibit, how to report concerns, how we respond, and how to contact our designated safety representative.

1. Mekora is for adults only

Mekora is a dating service intended solely for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we delete the account and remove any associated content.

2. What we prohibit

The following conduct is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action:

• Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE): any sexual conduct involving or directed at a minor.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any visual depiction, link, description, or request involving the sexual abuse of children.
• Child grooming: building a relationship with a minor to facilitate abuse or exploitation.
• Sextortion: coercing another person into producing sexual images or acts, including threats to share intimate content.
• Trafficking: recruiting, transporting, or exploiting minors for sex or labor.
• Sexualization of minors: any content or conversation that sexualizes or fetishizes children, including age-play targeted at minors.
• Contact with minors: any attempt to meet, communicate privately with, or obtain identifying information from a person known or believed to be under 18.

3. How to report a profile or message

If you see something that violates these standards, please report it immediately. Reports are anonymous and help keep the community safe.

• Report in the app: tap the ••• menu on the profile or message, choose Report, then select the reason that best fits (e.g., underage, CSAM, grooming, sextortion). For messages, long-press or tap the message in chat and choose Report.
• Block the account: blocking is instant and mutual. The blocked account will not know you blocked them and will disappear from your experience.
• Email our safety representative: if you cannot report in-app or the issue is urgent, send details to mekorasupport@gmail.com. Include usernames, links, timestamps, and a description of what happened.

4. How we respond

When we receive a report, our safety team follows this process:

• Review: reported content is reviewed promptly. Urgent reports involving minors are escalated and handled as a priority.
• Remove prohibited content: any content that violates these standards is removed from the platform.
• Account action: offending accounts may be suspended, permanently banned, or reported to law enforcement depending on the severity.
• Preserve evidence: when required by law or necessary to protect users, we preserve relevant records and cooperate with law enforcement and child-safety organizations.

5. Reporting to authorities

We report any confirmed CSAM or suspected CSAE to the appropriate authorities as required by law. This includes the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States and equivalent organizations in other jurisdictions.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services right away.

6. Parental and guardian guidance

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using Mekora, please contact us at mekorasupport@gmail.com. Include relevant details so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
